The Chairman, Officers and Committee Members of RUSA would like to take this opportunity to extend our best wishes to all members, safety colleagues and their families at this time. To those who have suffered from ill health or personal problems our thoughts are with you. For those who have good news in the year our joy goes with you at this festive time.

Regional meetings have not progressed as had been envisaged but to counter this on your behalf there has been considerable committee activity, personal contact and use of I/T media, including the website to assist members and safety bodies over a range of  issues.

For your information minutes from committee meetings and the ongoing committee action points are documented on the RUSA Website and are accessible to all paid and registered members. New documents have also been added.

One message constantly to the fore is the pressure on members, many of whom are part time or voluntary, and the vital service RUSA provides to members who sometimes find themselves in a lonely place. Can I take this opportunity to thank all those who have given support, advice and help to others over the year. RUSA needs all your support to continue with all the changes and demands that are associated with you as safety managers , we are here to help you all out.

This year saw the Rugby League World Cup can I thank and congratulate those members who were involved in this challenging busy event.

The next AGM will be at Twickenham 11a.m Wednesday 26th March. 2014. Please make a diary date.

Best wishes

Shaun Roberts

Chairman, Rugby Union Safety Association.
